How did you discover three major characters in your film?
I traveled for a year by country looking for people who have already felt a climate crisis, and fought effectively. I was lucky to meet three charismatic and courageous individuals who were on the road or have already achieved significant victories. They, their families and communities suffered in some way on the arms of oil and gas industry. They were not environmental or activists until they realized that no one was coming to help them.
How long have you been working on this movie?
We started shooting at the end of 2021. years and was the last time this summer, in front of Elona Musk Xai object in Memphis.
Did the Rokfelers hesitate to be in the film, making their efforts public?
Members of the Rockefeller family We met that this film will all be reluctant to be in the eyes of the public. But they are willing to do whatever it is necessary for making great oil and support the work of perspective leaders such as Justin, Sharon and Roysts to stop construction that accelerates the climate crisis.
What was the most challenging aspect of making doctors?
The most challenging aspect is a wide maintenance that the struggle to solve this crisis is already lost, so it does not make sense to implement. It’s not the way Justin, Sharon and Roishett feel. Over the years, despite the confrontation of indifference or opposition from those who are a political party in power, people in our film continue. They are determined to fight because they know that we cannot afford to give up.
Joe Berlinger was followed and eventually sued for his doc “coarse”. Were you at all concerned about the future of this film and his chances of distribution?
Although our crews have faced the bullying of public roads outside the facilities of oil and gas, our film is not one legal case against one company. It look at the failure of the entire industry to tell the truth and stops threatening the lives of their fellow citizens. We are convinced that the distributor will see our film for what is – hope, proves that even in problematic times, we can get up for what we believe and make a difference.
How did you fund this documentary?
We had support from the films of Patagonia, Ford Foundation and Philanthropic individuals. We still set funds.
