Retired Army SGT. Michael Verardo, one of the American most tagged wounded post-9/11 years, left Tuesday on Tuesday with full military honors at the Beddington Methodist Church in Northern Carolina.

Verardo was one of the most tendent wounded veterans of production Post-9/11. Verard injuries and his choice to continue to live with the purpose of honoring those who rose to speak on his behalf.

Those who knew him best testified about the depth of that mission. “He could go home after the first injury, but not Mike,” Sen said. Thom Tillis. “He was dedicated to the mission. Back home, he did his mission to recover, to help the family, never fully recovered from the wounds on that battlefield, but did not allow it to stop it.”

Addressing Verard’s daughters, Crack Armstrong said, “Your father was the best of all of us. It’s really rarely for so many man’s comrades to converge … a testament to everyone that your father thought to everyone that your father thought to everyone.
In her final forgiveness, Sarah shared the vow that she made as an American flag was set up after her flesh. “When these heroic first examined the American flag above him, I said Michael … I will love you forever. Every class of my life will be your life for life.”

Sgt. Michael Verard’s life is defined by sacrifice, resistance and commitment. His legacy will endure the courage of his brothers in Bravo, 2. Battalion 508. Infantry parachute infantry colonel and advocacy of his wife and life of his three daughters.
