Sorting crowded rounds for the National League of the Year

When the league is given a reward every year, someone has to win it no matter what. A group of candidates for a newcomer’s national league of the year is not as strong as usual, but they are well packed. Anyone could pull in advance or lags in the last month of the season.

In the National League there are only four players from Rookie with at least 2.0 warning (baseball-reference), and a leader with 2.7 has a very little chance to win a reward. It’s Chicago Cubs Third Basan Matt Shaw, who had a burning campaign after winning the starting job outside Spring Training.
