Google updates user profiles for your Play Games services on Android devices for displaying statistics, achievements and social characteristics. Changes include a package of new capabilities for “exposing and monitoring progress and games, new ways to build your game play and allowing you to customize your profile according to your liking” Google Help page.
The update will be applied automatically and starts to roll in most global regions 23. September, and 1. October for users in the EU and the UK. Google also emails email by email Google play users to inform them about changes. When implementing, Profiles and Google Play Games will start to appear in the Google Play store to prevent users from being transferred between applications when they manage your accounts.
The unique update aims to help users who make the profile information publicly to connect with other players and follow their players. It is unclear what this will in particular, but it sounds similar to playing and achievement information, history and achievements are currently presented at the Valve Steam Service.
