Angel Reese defends the gesture directed towards Caitlin Clark after the victory of the National LSU title; Calls a double standard after “non-acting” is

LSU Star Angel Reese defended the gesture she targeted Iowa Hawkeies’ Caitlin Clark near the end Tigers first victory for basketball NCAA women’s basketball championship Sunday, saying “I do not accept light disrespect.”

“So, this is for girls who look like me. For those who want to talk about it. It was bigger than me tonight. It would be bigger than me every time. It would be on Twitter every time.

“And I’m happy. I feel like I helped grow women’s basketball this year. (…) I look forward to the glory and next season.”

Reese had 15 points and 10 rebounds in 102-85 victory and won the Women’s March Madness Award of the most prominent players.

In post-games, Reese said similarly to Gesture Clark made Luisville opponents in elite eight.

In the same game, Clark told an opponent: “Lower 15 points. Shut up,” according to the avoidance report.

“Caitlin Clark is a hell player, but I don’t negotiate a light,” Reese said. “She was disregarded (LSU’s) alexis (Morris) (…) and I wanted to pick her pocket. I was at the end of her game. I was in my bag.”

After the championship match, Clark told himself that he didn’t notice anything then.

“(LSU main coach) Kim Mulukea trained them so well. She is one of the best basketball coaches of all time and it showed it. She told me only really kind things and me in hand.

“But I honestly have no idea. I just tried to spend the last few moments in court, and especially five people I started 93 matches and relaxation and every second.”

Ls. Main Coach Mulkei said “no idea” about what he crossed.

Among those who defend Reese on the social media were ESPN’s Holly Rove and the former NBA Star Etan Thomas.

“People who hate on Angel Reese or Caitlin Clark. Stop. Annocable self-confident young woman should not hate. Get used to it, get used to it,” ROVE wrote On Twitter.

Former Washington Vizards, Oklahoma City Thunder and Atlanta Hawks Player Thomas wrote: “Hold on now !!!! It was sweet when Claitlin Clark had no problem with that. So don’t be bitter and talk about class and sports mode when Angel Reese does the same thing. We’re not working here.”

Reese said that a negative reaction to social media throughout the season helped encourage their excellent season, and to finish average 23.0 points and 15.4 jumps in the first season with LSU after moving from Marilland.

“Twitter can say what they want to say,” she said. “I like reading those comments. I have all the screenshots of what everyone said about me all season. What are you going to say now?”
