Aircraft accident near Fort Morgan Airport in Colorado kills 1, injuries 3

One person was killed, and three people were injured after two planes collided midair near the Fort Morgan Municipal Airport in Colorado Officials for law enforcement said on Sunday.

In the statement Federal Aeronautics Administration (FAA) confirmed that the two planes collided as they tried to land.

“We extend our deepest condolences to the victim’s family in this tragic event,” said Sheriff’s office on Facebook post. “This is an active investigation and the names of the parties involved are not released at the time.”

The Sheriff’s office thanked the citizens who tried to expel the flame before the firefighters and other first respondents arrived.
