Norton, mass. – Miranda Wang was long waiting for a short birdie finally finished 5 to 67 years, giving her a two-sided advantage on Friday among those who finished other rounds in the FM Rain Championship.
Most wet day in TPC Boston was a series of delays in the rain and wounded to stand for about 10 hours to finish the circle.
Nelly Cord, scheduled for the afternoon, she managed to enter four holes (two birds) and will return with the second half of the field on Saturday morning.
Jeeno Thiticulus, Player no. 1 in Women’s Golf, Joined Hannah Green and defended the Champions Lauren Cughlin in running down the ninth board when they saw that the cheaper was to finish her round before the next delay.
“I don’t think I could mentally get ready for another delay,” green with laughter said.
Wang already has 16 birds of over 36 holes and spread from great brizary runs. The tournament started eight birds in its opening nine. The second round ended three in a row, just didn’t go all this quickly.
She had a bird of 8 feet at the PAR-5 18. When the horn sounded – again – stopping the game. Wang returned some two hours later and set the way to reach 11 to 133.
“I didn’t expect time because we didn’t see the spit storms in the forecast in this morning. But, so, it’s golf,” Wang said. “We play in nature, so it is sometimes unpredictable. We just have to deal with it and get ready for thunderstorms and just try to stay calm and warm up just like you didn’t stop and just stop.”
Madelene Sagstrom had 66 and was 9th below 135. Green (68), Azahara Munoz (68) and Celine Borge (66) were another shot.
The LPGA was hoping to be a reasonable weekend forecast, the tournament could be close to the return on the schedule until Saturday night or Sunday morning. The plan was to make a cut and then send three and both right.
Cord, who still does not win this year, the court with 32 holes on Saturday while trying to stay in position for its first win of the year.
Thitikul, who replaced the cord on top of the world rank at the beginning of this month, accused into a mixture with four birds on his back nine. But she played the front nine in case it was 68 and was four shots.
Today, what was an important ended. It was her idea a group waste of time to play the ninth when they saw the clouds.
“He told us the security guard … three minutes left, so run, ready and go,” Thiticul said said. “It was a start and stop, start and stop. It was a little frustrating, but I’m glad.”
Also four shelled behind were women’s British open champions Miiu Yamashita (66) and Jodi Evart Shadoff, which ended the opening opening with four straight birds to share the lead of 18 holes. She had to settle for 72 on Friday.
