Italian distribution company I’m wondering pictures has acquired the right to a Venetial “Broken English”, a portrait of late Marianne Faithfull Directed by the Bafte Nominula IAIN Forsith and Jane Pollard (“20,000 days on Earth”).
“Broken English” was set to the world premiere in off-competition section in Venice Film Festival 30. August. Sales and finance Outfit Global Constellation is processing international sales, with China media rights.
They recorded in the last years of faithful life and her last recorded performance, “broken English” is filming singer-text, singers and actor in rare, inhuman moments, because it reflects art, survival and heritage.
With cast heads with Tildo Swinton and George Macka, the film follows the assignment roles within the Ministry of the Ministry for which they do not forget, “Podkion Poetic construct dedicated to rescue cultural memory from oblivion.” The belie becomes its first “subject”, adopted through tapestry interviews, archival shots and sound songs.
