Anthropic wants to use your Holiday Chases for AI Training: Here’s how to turn off

Anthropic will soon start using chat transcripts to train your popular ChatbotClaude. The announcement came as an update to the company on Thursday Consumer’s establishment and privacy policy.

New users will see the “help in improving Claud”, which can be transferred or turned off as part of the application flow, where existing users will begin to see the notification to explain change. Users have up to 28. September to be excluded from a new change, as this will allow it to be possible. You can still turn off the option in Claud’s privacy settings.

What changes?

Individual users who use Claude Free, Pro, Max or Code sessions from one of the above mentioned plans will be in affected change when it takes effect at the end of September. With the option provided, and training will be held only on new and continued chat and encoding sessions. Older chats not revised will not be affected – at least for now.

There are exceptions from updated policy. Claude for work (team and company plans), Claude Gov and Claude Education will not be affected. This also extends to use third-party application interface, including Amazon Bedring and Vertex AI in Gouble Cloud.

To the deadline. September, users can ignore the notification by closing or selecting the “Not Now” option. After the deadline, users must give a choice to continue using Claud.

Data retention changes

Users who decide in AI Training will also have its own data for significantly longer than the previous 30-day window. It will have data stored in the users who are kept for 5 years and such as the update training policy, only applies to new or continued cheets.

Anthropic says that the extended data retention will allow the company to identify abuse and detect harmful forms of use.

If you have decided before and decided to turn off, your new and continued chats will no longer be used for future and model training. Each qualified data will continue to be included in the training already started and models that are already trained, but will not be used in future training.
