Much Đi-A much smaller microphone 3 can record four items at a time

Ð’s hectic engineering team again on it with company creation third Wireless microphone in less than two years. New lead ship Dji Mic 3 has a change of wholesale from Mic 2 Plus a number of improvements in areas such as sound quality, noise reduction and number of respondents that you can recharge at once – although there is one reduction compared to the last model. I was one more than a week, so I will provide some impressions too.

The most famous change with MIC 3 is the smaller size of the transmitter and easier weight. Weighs only 16 grams (.58 ounces) compared to 28 grams (.99 ounces) for MIC 2, although it is bigger and heavier than Small mini transmitter (10 grams). The DJI also improved the installation options, introducing a rotating clip along with a magnetic option. There is even a choice of five colors for the windshield to better suit your item’s clothing.

The smaller size and rotating shot makes MIC 3 discrete and easier to attach to any shirt or hat. However, there is still a large logo “Đi” on both sides of the transmitter that looks ugly, but gives a company free advertising, I guess.

The charging case keeps the receiver and two transmitters and, unlike the last model, now allows you to insert a transmitter with a magnetic bracket and windshield still attached. Fully charged transmitters can look for about eight hours, and the receiver can go 10 hours. However, the case provides enough power to charge all three devices 2.4 times for about 28 hours of extended use. This feature makes MIC 3 useful for shooting marathon and was key to the success of the original DJI MIC, although such competitors Sennheiser have caught and introduced similar cases.

MIC 3 now supports up to four transmitters and eight receivers at once. This means that you can record four items at the same time as eight receivers simultaneously for recording with multiple cameras (if you buy additional sets, of course). I could not test this feature as I only had one set, but it will be convenient for great jobs if it acts as advertised.

To synchronize and shave all that sound and videos, MIC 3 now offers high-precise recording time catching installed during internal shooting. I tested this function with two cameras, and once I realized how to align the recordings in Davinci, it turned out to be worth the post-production time.

DJI's MIC 3 supports Quad channel capture to select Sony Camera.

The receiver can also be set to self-confidence mode to select Sony Camera and Software, allowing independent products of four channels at once to one camera. The DJi is a promising range of 400 meters (about 1300 feet) and a strong resistance to automatic frequency skipping between 2,4 GHz bands and 5GHz.

There are also big improvements in audio quality. It is the first Microphone of Dji with two adaptive gain management modes. For a noisy outdoor environment such as sports events, automatic mode suppresses a sudden volume to prevent clination. Meanwhile, the dynamic regimen adapts to fly gain in response to volume changes to ensure consistent loudness in peaceful settings like studies.

I tested this characteristic in Paris in a relatively quiet study and outside the traffic and other city noises. Automatic tuning is good job suppressed those unwanted sounds without a suitable effect on sound quality. And the dynamic regime remained a speech level stable even when I started again at the end of the sentences, without influence on spoken timber or clarity.

MIC 3 is also the first with three tons adjustments (regular, rich and bright) to deal with different voice characteristics (medium, low and high terrain). This feature also worked as advertised. Let’s set up “regularly,” I needed less equalization than that otherwise, even equalized his voice and worked equally to a higher female voice.

The active noise cancellation on two levels reduces the background of sounds such as air conditioning and wind noise. Again, it worked effectively, although as any noise reduction algorithm, affected the quality of voice artificially reducing some frequencies. Finally, the function without losses without losses allows the microphone to uncompress 48KHz 24-bit audio directly directly to the receiver to eliminate any MPEG audio artifacts. This is probably overly precise for most of the use cases. While MIC 3 offers good sound quality, nowhere is nowhere near the intended high-study studio microphone – so you will be tough to notice any difference.

The DJI also added an internal double file of the 24-bit and 32-bit flagging, which records the highest possible quality without any print. That allows you to record two files of 32-bit sounds without algorithmic changes, two 24-bit sound channels with algorithmic changes or one of each. It is an improvement through MIC 2, who just caught one file of the original sound in 32-bit cork.

Dji's Mic 3 can connect to the phone via Bluetooth or directly via USB-C

There is one key feature that is missing on Jiovi microphone 3 that could make a non-starter for some audio professionals. Unlike MIC 2, the transmitter lacks 3.5 mm MIC port for wired lion or other microphones. This means you rely on MIC 3 microphone, and although it offers sound high quality sound, it may not be high enough for applications such as emissions.

Finally, MIC 3 works with the Dji system Osmoudio, so steamed with Eighth 360, Eighth AKCIF 5 Pro, Action 4 and the eighth pocket without the need for the receiver. I tested it with Eighth 360 and Action 5 Pro and connected without any problems. For other devices, you can zag over 3.5 mm Trs port, TRRS monitoring and USB-C port or smartphones via Bluetooth or USB-C using the adapter on.

Dji’s Mic 3 is now in sales for sale on most territories, at a price of $ 329 in a charging case plus two transmitters and receivers, or $ 219 with one transmitter and receiver.

Update, 28. August 2025, 9:45 IT: This story has been updated with us sales connections. Dji originally said that MIC 3 is not yet available in the US, but the company has changed the course and a new product can be purchased from Ji or Amazon.
