He once noticed a great Arnold Palmer, “I’ve never encountered a piece of land so ideally suitable for building a golf course.” He spoke of what would become a Golf club Tralee – his only design in Ireland and a course now celebrated as one of the most important stage world in the world.

In addition to the shore of the Kerri County Windscrain, Tralee Golf Club is a masterpiece in history and drama. It was founded in 1896. year, the club began humbly with the appearance of nine holes near Trale before the island of Fenit, where Golf played on the background of Barrow Luke. Decades of evolution, including the wakeful period during Irish war independence, place the stage for the bold set in the 1980s. The visionary members bought land in Barrovo, and in 1984. Arnold Palmer was in parallel with his main architet Ed Seai, he was expected a gem of 18 holes, which became legendary. Palmer cut,
“” I never came across a piece of land so ideally suitable for building a golf course. Every hole feels like it was supposed to be here, carved nature. ”
The testament natural drama and strategic glow of Tralee’s look. Today, the club also stands for the living action of Irish golf history and destination spoon for players who look for breathed ocean views, challenging dunes and tastes of the perfection of the goalkeeper.
My Tee shot at a couple 5 2. A hole that is circumvented around the coast

The front nine on the tray is a master class in coastal golf, where every hole requires and precise and nervous. Since the introductory body, I was greeted by moving at the Atlantic and a view of the Tower Dunes waiting for the internal level, as it is visually stunning as it is frightening. The opener relieves you in the rhythm of the circle before you spin a dramatic couple-5 seconds, clean the folder hole that hugs the coast with a public beach that passed straight through the board. From the body, the remote green brings one of those “there is green!” Moments that make you wonder if it is possible to reach three shots.
The journey develops through the records framed with stone walls, with an ancient tower standing behind 3. Green, before sat at the 8th. Another robe

The hole bends along the coast in the opposite direction 2. years. It takes shots in shape and emphasizes the glitant use of Palmer’s great scenery of Ireland. The walk itself is easy on your feet as well as on the eyes. At every step I found myself to stop absorbing natural beauty, trying to soak as much as possible.
If the front nine on the tray lays the stage, the back nine delivers drama. Arnold Palmer once said, “I may have designed the first nine, but God was safely designed by the last part,” And it doesn’t take long to see why. 10. The hole signals shift, pushing you into the world of tonnic dunes that rise like cathedral walls. My walk in this natural amphitheater came with the Rafa of Classic Irish weather – sudden rain that made me a backpack, just to make the sky clean up later in great sunshine. The variable elements felt perfectly in line with the ground, adding another layer of character to what has become one of the best walks of the nine holes I have ever experienced.

Holes like PAR-3 13. year, they played over the break in green against the sky, and the bold parso-4. Years, which requires dedicated swinging in all Atlantic winds, defines the character of Tralee’s internal nine. Seaside 16. Hugs cliffs in spectacular mode, separating you to find out in the middle of iron. With one of my best changes, I left myself a bird of 20 feet captured by the essence of Golf’s purest joy: A long walk with a putter.
By the time you climb to elevated tea in 17, and look over the endless ocean, it becomes clear that it’s not just a golf-it theater. Tralee’s Back Nine is nothing shorter surreal, out-of-body experiences, the type of golf that leaves you with your circle already dreaming when you will return.

After a well-earned asshole and a warm meal for a 36 hole hat, I stood on the balcony of the club overlooking 18. green, watching the sun dies in the Atlantic. I asked myself a simple question: Is there anywhere else in the world I’d rather be right now? The answer, without hesitation, was not. Well done Arnie, well done.
