The Pixel 9a It is not particularly shining and there are no special characteristics that are not already available at its more expensive siblings. In fact, it actually has more slow filling and lacking support for some of Google’s homegrown software like the screen application. But for everyone who just want a simple phone with a solid design, nice screen, great camera and strong battery life, pixel 9a really hard to win. So until it’s super fantastic, the phone has all the most importantly covered basics (and then some). But most importantly, starting only $ 499, this phone feels like an amazing offer that gets well above her price.

The S25 Ultra is the phone anything. It has a wide range of cameras, including a 5K 50 megapixel sensor for its ultra broad shooter, a beautiful 6.1-inches (which is greater than 0.1 inches from last year) and of course Samsung pencil. It said, for 2025. year, Samsung’s main focus was on improved galaxy and functions as it is now short, which creates personalized feeds, events and more. There is also a drawing assistance that makes it easy to create ai-generated art or can be converted to AI, select help from taking a screen shots, turning videos in GIFs or summaries.
Unfortunately, aside from the new Snapdragon 8 an elite chip, S25 Ultra does not come with a ton of new hardware compared to your predecessor (or S23U on this issue). So, while Samsung is the latest leading ship a great phone, it feels like an essential upgrade for people with leading devices that are only a year or two.

What to look for on new Android phone
Performance
When it comes to choosing our favorite Android phones, the main things we look for are quite simple: good performance (and compute and ai), nice display, solid design, sharp camera, long life and significant commitment. For performance, we not only watch reference values and other metrics, but we also assess responsiveness phones. Whether you read, text messages, move through social media or play the game, no one wants a gadget that feels slow.
Display
When it comes to display, we mainly prefer an OLED panel that can produce rich, saturated colors with at least 600 nesting brightness, although many of our best middle range and high phones can hit 1,000 threads or more. And recently, most of our favorite devices also supports screens with fast refresh rate than 90Hz or 120Hz, which adds an extra level of smoothness and fluidity.
Design
We will now admit that there is a little subjectivity when they decide which phones look the best, but there are other aspects of design like resistance to dust and water or storage on the screen that can make a big difference on long-term survival. It is also important to consider things like support for wireless charging, electricity sharing (AKA VEETERSE wireless) and UVB connection, which may affect the way your phone communicates with other devices.
Cameras
It is obvious that we are looking for sharp, vivid recordings in light and weaknesses. And we want videos with a high dynamic range, rich audio and smooth image stabilization. Additional cameras for ultra wide and telephoto lenses are plus. The best cameras should also include features like dedicated night modes, support for different video recording resolutions and additional photo modes such as timeline, slow motion and more.
Battery and software
Finally, in terms of longevity, we are looking for an all-day battery life on devices that also delivered great results in our local video test (at least 16 hours on charges, but it is more obviously better). Finally, with people who are held on their phones longer than ever, we like companies to commit at least three years of software support, upgrades and regular security updates.
