The elderly man falsely claimed to shot Charlie Kirka to hinder the police, says Sheriff

The elderly man was arrested immediately after the assassination of Charlie Kirk falsely claimed that he shot a conservative activist to interfere with the police response to finding real shooters, sheriff’s office in Utah County said Tuesday.

George Zinn, 71, attended Kirk’s event at Utah Valley University, showing Kirka, according to Sheriff’s office, took him to the police department and later translated him into a local episode.

The Sheriff’s office of Utah County said Zinn, while he said he said he was falsely claimed that the shooter was obstructing the responsibility of the Law on Police to Murder.

There is no information that Zinn came with suspected stress, Tyler Robinson, who was accused of killing Kirk on Tuesday.
