Northern lights have a moderate chance to appear in the sky above the U.S. on Monday, according to the National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration, after the effects of geomagnetic storm affect the ground.
Forecast Monday comes after Noaa recorded a G3 “strong” geomagnetic storm on Sunday night.

Noaa forecasts predict the KP index of five of nine, which means that Aurora could appear “brighter” with more “movements and formations”.

Much of Washington, Montana and South Dakota could also see lights, according to NOA, together with some northern parts of idah, vioming and Iowa. On the east coast, the North Parts of Upstate New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine could all see Aurora.
NOAA experts recommend viewers closer to the earthly magnetic genuine gender to get the best potential sights. Viewers should find a larger skill away from city lights and go out in a period of time, Aurora is most active – usually between 22. and 2 hours in the morning
