Where is the right to trial jury from? Right to submit a firearm? Freedom of the press? The right to get rid of cruel and unusual sentences? The right to not property is not taken without a dorative procedure of law? The right to peaceful gathering and the Government of the petition for complaints for complaints? The right to vote?
These are not rights clearly set in the Bible or other holy texts. And they are not rights accepted in all societies around the world. But they are the rights guaranteed in the United States, because they are particularly involved in our Constitution and the statutes. Jefferson recognized so much in the statement, explaining that the institution of the democratic government was launched “to provide these rights” for all.
The claim that all rights come from the Creator, not the law or government leave the door wide open for dictators to ignore the law and simply declare them to work God’s will. It happened during history and today happens in many parts of the world.
Now we can agree that slavery violated the right of all to freedom. But the natural right meant nothing until civil war and the passage of 13. Amendments ban a monstrous institution.
Unless everyday people cannot protect, everyday people cannot rest that their critical rights will be protected. The claim that all rights come from the Creator, not the law or government leave the door wide open for dictators to ignore the law and simply declare them to work God’s will. It happened during history and today happens in many parts of the world. This is one of the reasons why America rejected the British monarchy before 250 years – we do not accept the “divine right of the king” to set, change or destroy the rules. And we should never accept such tyranny.

Bishop Barron It should be thanked for God that his rights and rights of all Americans are protected by law.
When it comes to important business for insurance of legal rights, we should all be considered wisdom often ascribed to St. Augustin: “He prays like everything depends on God. Work like everything depends on you.”
