Insta360 X3 for $ 250: Here you will need to settle for 5,7k, and it is on the 1/2-inch sensor, which is only 1080p when you are cropped into a rectangular video format. However, you get almost the same form factor as K4 and you can use it as an action camp with one lens. KooCam 3 Ultra for $ 599: It’s not widely available, and we didn’t have the opportunity to try, but Kandao’s KooCam 3 Ultra is another 8K360 camera that looks promising, at least on paper. 360 cameras to be avoided
Insta360 one x2 for $ 230: The older X2 Insta360 differs from the X3 that replaced it. The form factor is less convenient. (The screen is tiny; it is quite necessary to use it by phone). The 5,7k videos are still fired, but it is not so well stabilized nor was it near sharp as X3 or X4. Unless you can get it for good below $ 200, X2 is not worth the purchase.
Insta360 One RS 1 360 Edition: Although I still love and use this camera, it seems to be abolished and there is no replacement in sight. X5 delivers better quality of videos in an easier, less fragile body, but I will miss those 1-inch sensors that managed to withdraw a lot of detail, even if the recording took it out to 6k. They are still available, but on unsightly prices. It’s better with Q5.
