Jacobi Jupe Cries during Hamnet interview with Jessie Bucklei & Paul Mescal

“She felt like a privilege to be in the room,” Vatson discovered. “My life started with Shakespeare. Just to touch this story felt like an amazing thing to do.”

She set aside Zha’s vision: “Just to see electricity and magic called this living witch here – I had the best place in the house.”

Zhao, who became the first woman in which she won the Academy Award for the Best Director for “Nomadland” (2020) five years ago, says that Hamnet “provides audiences with a safe emotional area.

She added, “If we can all believe that each of us has the ability to alchemize all the pain in life – sometimes it doesn’t make it just William Shakespeare. We all have it only.”
